Hi I'm Sailor and my mommy is Haydee. We own and operate Groomingdale's Doggie Salon.
(Don't tell her I said this, but I taught her (almost) everything she knows). For instance, I know how dangerous it can be for a pet to try to hop off the grooming table or out of the tub. |
Also, I don't like hot dryers and they can be dangerous. My mommy doesn't use them. (The Groomingdale's "Careful-Cool" drying system takes a bit longer, but I'm worth it and so is your pet). My skin is sensitive. I'm even allergic to flea collars! Since many flea and tick products contain a cocktail of nasty INSECTICIDES, Mom and I insist on only NATURAL flea and tick treatments for your pet.
Speaking of sensitive skin, did you know that dogs can get serious skin burn from de-shedding? Dogs also inhale their own hair and dander. That's why my mommy uses only the "Stress-Less" wet de-shedding technique she learned from one of the country's top groomers. Shih Tzu like me have long, floppy ears. I taught my mommy to pay special attention to these problem areas, before trouble can get started. All our doggie baths are at least a 3 step process: Bath+Rinse; Bath+Rinse; Condition+Rinse. (They are tearless too, of course). Finally (I saved the worst for last) my mommy believes that expressing the anal glands is a medical procedure and is best done by a vet. (Couldn't agree more!
